Please join the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and the University of Toronto Department of Chemistry for the Dr. Mark Ernsting Drug Discovery Memorial Lecture on Friday, November 5, 2021. The Lecture is named in honour of Dr. Mark Ernsting, who was a Senior Biomedical Engineer in the Drug Discovery Program at OICR. Dr. Ernsting passed away in December 2015. He was a brilliant and passionate scientist as well as a great colleague and friend. Dr. Ernsting endeavoured to improve the lives of cancer patients by developing nanomedicines.

This year’s Lecture will be delivered by Dr. Pieter Cullis, Professor, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of British Columbia and is titled “Lipid Nanoparticles for Enabling Gene Therapies for Rare Diseases (Transthyretin-Induced Amyloidosis), Infectious Diseases (Covid-19 Vaccines) and Personalized Cancer Therapeutics”.
