Ms. Sharon M. Chandler is a senior executive with progressive leadership experience in public and private sector pension plan management. Chandler has expertise in creating and monitoring board governance and performance, strategy and relationship building with stakeholders and government.

Chandler is currently a Member-at-Large on the Canadian Cancer Society Ontario Board and a former member of the Canadian Cancer Society Ontario Public Issues Team and of the National Board’s Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee. Previously she worked at the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT) Pension Plan, where she held the positions of Director, Policy and Communications from 1995 to 2008 and Chief Operations Officer from 2008 to 2010. Prior to her time at CAAT Chandler was a Senior Manager, Pensions at the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Chandler received a BA from the University of Manitoba, followed by a diploma in International Business from Seneca College and completed the Executive Development Programs at Harvard University. She has certifications in Trustee Education, Investments, Pensions, Benefits and Compensation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Humber College and WorldatWork (formerly The American Compensation Association).
